Usui Reiki

Usui Reiki Level 1: The First Degree
Level 1 is a practitioner's initiation into Reiki and is open to anyone. During this 2 day workshop we focus, on opening the energy channels on a physical level. Which allows the practitioner to connect with the universal life force energy that flows down from the cosmos into the crown chakra and into the heart and hands.
This level of Reiki is about self-healing. You can only facilitate healing in others if you can first heal yourself. Working through, your own blocks, fears and dis-ease is firstly empowering and secondly makes you a better healer, when working with clients.
The Reiki Level 1 attunement was initially given in four separate attunements. There are some Reiki Masters who still teach using this method. However, many Reiki Masters provide the Level 1 attunement in one single attunement. Many experience physical symptoms of energy in their palms after the first attunement -- including tingling, coolness or heat. Typically the Level 1 course also includes an overview of the history of Reiki, hand placements and self and group practice.

Usui Reiki Level 2: Second Degree
The second level of Reiki focuses on practicing Reiki on others. The second Reiki attunement is given in this course. The student is taught to expand energy channels through the use of Reiki symbols. The symbols allow the student to connect more deeply the qualities of the symbol and into universal energy.
This includes the ability to provide distance Reiki, or sending healing energy to individuals wherever they may be. Level 2 focuses on opening up the central channel even more, with an emphasis on the Heart Chakra. Typically Level 2 also includes practice in drawing the symbols, invoking their qualities, as well as distance healing.
Due to the intensity of the attunement process, we recommend that at least 21 days to a full three months pass between receiving the Level 1 and Level 2 attunements (Level 1 is required to receive Level 2).

Usui Reiki Level 3: Third Degree & Reiki Master
The third degree consists of learning the master symbol, receiving the attunements, and learning and mastering the attunement processes so you can then pass on and teach the gift of reiki to others.
Becoming a Reiki Master is not the end of the journey; it is only the beginning of your own personal and spiritual development. A Reiki Master; is not suddenly a better or wiser or more enlightened person than anyone else, it simply means that as a Reiki Master/Teacher you are now able to pass on the gift of the universal life force to others. Hopefully, a person seeking to become a Reiki Master is already a kind, considerate and spiritually developed individual who is seeking to not only enhance their own life, but also the lives of others.
The third degree is a natural progression for those who want to teach Reiki. The more Reiki teachers we have; the more people will be introduced and drawn to Reiki. The world as a community needs to learn to live together and come to realise that we are all connected and should live in peace and harmony. Reiki can help heal some of the rifts and issues that drive us apart. The more people in tune with Reiki the better our world will undoubtedly become.
